Before you go all worried on me, I want to assure you that MIT is not going to go out of business anytime soon. Or the big textbook publishers. But, for those people who can’t afford these educational resources opportunities (or get into MIT, for that matter), these options create a new floor for what every person on this planet can have for free.

Thanks to Hewlett Foundation, thanks to academicearth.org, thanks to Carnegie Mellon, thanks to Monterey institute, thanks many others.
But I feel that we should organise all these.
First priority is university online courses.
Format used by MIT in academicearth.org is good enought for now. ( be careful not opencourseware )
We SHARE those in Turkey in a beautiful way .
1. All 145 universities in Turkey study online courses available at academicearth.org.
2.- Some professors choose an online course to teach his students in his subject or a similar subject. He is also teaching f2f .
3.- He registers sudents online from University’s server.
4.- He is a facilitator for the course now. he follow what the MIT says. Assigns homework, correct them according to MIT solutions, assigns midterms correctthem grade them according to solutions MIT gave also, he gives a final exam face to face he corrects and grade them according to solutipon MIT has given him.
5.- He gives a final grade to students, student is awarded a credit from the Turkish University.
6.- When student completes 120 credits required for BS ONLINE + OFFLINE he gets his BS degree from Turkish University.
7.- This is an extra job for the professor. Therefore he is paid 25 % overtime for his work .
8.- If Turkish University is a State university no charge for the student.
9.- If Turkish University is a private foundation university , university charges students only the expenses university made for the course. This is required by academicearth.org.
10.- This model makes academicearth.org model very attractive.
My aim is to enlarge the available courses and enlarge the number of good universities participate it.

Please help me and USA. You can do the same thing in USA communuty colleges too.
As you say I ahve been saying for years
ONLINE is for SHARE. ONLINE is very easy to share it does not cost anything to providers . Providers just get the best prestige in the world.
This is the way to live up Community Colleges in USA. On fact even normal colleges can do it too.
ONLINE is for millions not for hundreds.
